Long Live the Universal Contributions of Comrade Joseph Stalin

December 21, 2009 marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin and working and oppressed people around the world will celebrate this historic date. To commemorate the birth of this outstanding proletarian revolutionary here are some quotes, followed by some longer articles, highlighting his achievements and contributions to Marxist-Leninist theory and to the cause of socialism. The Marxist-Leninist would encourage those interested to read the 1947 political biography of Stalin published by the Marx-Engels-Lenin Institute as well as the other texts below.

Pyongyang Mass Rally Marks Day of Struggle against U.S. Imperialism

The following is from the DPRK’s Korean Central News Agency:

KOREA-NORTH/

Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) – A Pyongyang mass rally was held at Kim Il Sung Square Thursday on the occasion of “June 25, the day of the struggle against U.S. imperialism.”

Ri Yong Mu, Kim Il Chol, Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop and others and the chairman of a friendly party were among more than 100,000 people from all walks of life and youth and students and overseas compatriots present at the mass rally.

After meeting with the Ambassador of Democratic People’s Republic (DPR) of Korea in Nepal, I accepted the invitation to go to Korea in September 2008. I was specially invited by the department of Information and Communication of DPR Korea to share bilateral experiences in information and communication.

The Korean political power was established through the accomplishment of a historic revolution and the continuous struggle against the remnants of the domestic feudalism inside and against imperialism outside.
