PFLP stands beside the Egyptian and Tunisian revolutions as great Arab popular movements

The following is from the website of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:

Comrade Hussein al-Jamal, member of the Central Committee of the Gaza branch of Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said on February 2, 2011 that “the Front will never stand aside or claim neutrality toward popular revolution or the national liberation movements in the Arab world. Our Front stands beside all of the Arab people, and especially the peoples of Egypt and Tunisia at this time of their great revolutions.”

In an interview with Gaza-based Voice of the People radio, Comrade Jamal said that the “clock of the Arab world will not go backwards, but instead forwards toward freedom and emancipation from oppression,” adding that the victory of the Arab revolutions would deal a severe blow to Israel and the Zionist movement.

He noted that Israel is currently confused and carefully watching events in Egypt, and warned of attempts by the state meant to subvert the popular revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt. Comrade Jamal said further that the common factor of these revolutions is their popular base and origin, and have a fundamentally progressive and leftist character.

PFLP calls for more military resistance to Israeli occupation

PFLP salutes military resistance in Al-Khalil and calls for escalation

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine praised the Palestinian resistance’s military operation against illegal racist settlers in Al-Khalil on September 1, 2010, saying that it was a heroic action that reinforces that our people’s resistance to the occupation and the settlers’ crimes againt our people and our land is steadfast, and that this action makes clear that the Palestinian people’s resistance is the main road to restore our rights and liberate or land, not the path of negotiations, concessions, and liquidation of Palestinian national rights.

FRSO 6th Congress Resolution: Support Palestinian Liberation

The following resolution is from the 6th Congress of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, which took place in May 2010.

Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) supports the Palestinian people and their resistance against Israel’s criminal theft of Palestinian lands, expulsion of the Palestinian people, undermining of Palestinian rights, and brutal assault and siege on Gaza.  The steadfast people of Palestine have struggled for many decades for self-determination and independence, especially since the founding of the state of “Israel” on May 14, 1948, when over 750,000 Palestinians were forced off their lands in what the Palestinians call Al-Nakba (the Catastrophe).

PFLP pledge’s to resist negotiations

PFLP marks the ninth anniversary of the assassination of Comrade Leader Abu Ali Mustafa with pledge to resist negotiations.  

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine marked on August 27, 2010 the ninth anniversary of the assassination of its leader General Secretary Abu Ali Mustafa by an Israeli occupation rocket in 2001. As the Palestinian people confront a new round of threats to their national cause and national existence, the legacy of Comrade Abu Ali Mustafa remains always, in his words, a legacy of “resistance, not compromise.” PFLP organizations throughout occupied Palestine marked this anniversary with a deep commitment to resist the new round of “direct negotiations” and to uphold Palestinian national rights, particularly the right to return, and Palestinian national unity, and carry forward the commitment of Comrade Abu Ali Mustafa in a new era of struggle.

PFLP speaks out against planned negotiations with Israel

PFLP rejects and calls for action against liquidationist return to direct negotiations

Comrade Maher al-Taher, member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and leader of its branch outside Palestine, said on August 20, 2010 that the goal of direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority is to liquidate the Palestinian cause, not to reach a political solution, noting that it is clear from the events and actions of Israel that it is impossible to reach a political solution with an entity that demands total control of all aspects of Palestinian existence.

PFLP Political Bureau calls for October mobilization for Comrade Sa’adat

The Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement on July 18, 2010, calling for the broadest expression of solidarity and support for Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, the General Secretary of the PFLP, in mid-October 2010, when his continued isolation in the jails of the occupation will again come before the court.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemns the latest Israeli massacre on the high seas, in international waters, the brutal assault on the international Freedom Flotilla to Gaza on May 31, 2010. The Israeli state terror pirates, said the Front, attacked the humanitarian aid and international solidarity ships with firearms and commandos; the Front said that this is the latest crime against humanity committed by the occupation state, illustrating its blatant disregard for international law.

Comrade Sa’adat: End occupation in all of historic Palestine

Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, the imprisoned General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, denounced any negotiations with the occupation, saying that “the solution to the critical historical conflict in the Middle East will only be the establishment of one state on the entire Palestinian national soil, from river to sea, with full equality for all.”

The Palestinian people’s oppression continues due primarily to the financial, diplomatic, and military support that the Zionist state receives from the USA and secondly to the acquiescence of pro-Western states in the region.  After the fall of the Zionist state’s long lost brother — the Apartheid state of South Africa — the Palestinian struggle remains perhaps the leading and most potent anti-imperialist struggle in the world.  Therefore, Palestinian women are a central example of what role women can play in the struggle to free themselves, their families, their communities, and their nation from imperialism.
