Communist Party of the Philippines on Reactionary Elections Under Conditions of Dual Power

The following statement by the Communist Party of the Philippines is from the website of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines:

Revolutionary authorities require candidates to observe policies within revolutionary areas
Saturday, 27 February 2010

By Communist Party of the Philippines

For several weeks now, officials and mouthpieces of the Armed Forces of the Philippines have intensified their dirty psywar attacks against the revolutionary forces, disparaging the policy requiring political parties and candidates to observe policies and guidelines regarding the conduct of reactionary elections within areas under revolutionary jurisdiction.

It is unfortunate that the advisory issued the other day by the Commission on Human Rights somehow found itself caught in the web of tall tales spun by the AFP. It branded the revolutionary authorities’ issuance of permits to campaign as a “form of extortion” in “violation of human rights and international humanitarian law,” including the “rights to electoral participation and suffrage,” as well as the “rights to equality, free expression, freedom of movement, and freedom against discrimination.”

Communist Party of the Philippines: The State of Gloria Arroyo’s Lies

PHILIPPINES/

The following is from Philippine Revolution Web Central:

Communist Party of the Philippines
July 28, 2009

Gloria Arroyo’s supposed last State of the Nation Address (SONA yesterday was full of lies, fantasies and evasions. As expected by practically everyone — the opposition, the entire Filipino people and even her own allies and underlings — it was no different from her past SONA.

Not even the ghost writer believed what he wrote for her. No one, except the most naïve, believed what they heard. Not content with the orchestrated 126 “applauses” by her sycophants in the hall and hakot crowd at the gallery, her props even included canned computer-generated applause that sometimes missed the timing and became obvious.

Her pompous show yesterday was not in any way a state of the nation address. It was nothing but a “state of lies.”

The global and domestic economic crisis is pushing the people to wage revolutionary struggle

h_dulasamsam_min_2006The following statement is from the Communist Party of the Philippines:

January 30, 2009

The worsening global and domestic economic crisis is pressing down hard on the masses of the Filipino people. The rotten ruling system is sinking so deep, it is helpless to lift itself and is only pushing the masses into ever worse squalor. Millions are being dislocated by the crisis. It is becoming increasingly clear to the Filipino people that there is no other option but to wage revolutionary struggle to put an end to the rotten, plunderous and oppressive semicolonial and semifeudal system.

In the past few weeks, tens of thousands of Filipino workers in the semiconductor and other semimanufacturing sectors have lost their jobs as subsidiaries and comprador firms of multinationals in the export processing zones closed or drastically slowed down production. Government statistics show about 20,000 workers have been retrenched as of last week while up to 34,000 were working with reduced hours. The actual situation is much worse.

From: Freedom Road Socialist Organization

Dear Comrades,

We send militant greetings on the 40th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Communist Party of the Philippines. These past 40 years have been marked by heroic sacrifices and great victories for your Party, its army and for the patriotic people of the Philippines. We are confident that the future will be still more glorious, and will bring about a victory of the national democratic revolution, under the leadership of the working class and its Party, the Communist Party of the Philippines.

We have great respect for the ideological and political clarity of the CPP, along with your practical work. Not so long ago, more than a few forces in the world communist movement were wavering. Some even went over to the enemy. We appreciate the fact that your Party upheld the banner of Marxism-Leninism along with the contributions of Mao Zedong. Your firm stand was and is a great contribution to the fight of working and oppressed people everywhere, including the United States. We are sure you will make even greater contributions in the period ahead.

Our organization has worked against the repression directed against the CPP by U.S. imperialism and its puppets. We will continue to do so in the future and will continue to oppose U.S. intervention in the Philippines.

The people of the Philippines and the people of the United States share a common enemy in U.S. imperialism, and the unity between the peoples of our respective countries will, over the long run. contribute to U.S. imperialism’s defeat. Recognizing this, we will work to develop the warm, fraternal relations that exist between our organizations.

Today, the imperialists are beset by crisis. Countries want independence, nations want liberation and people need revolution. We are sure that the revolutionary process in the Philippines will continue to advance under the leadership of the CPP.

Long live proletarian internationalism!

Long live Marxism-Leninism!

Long live the Communist Party of the Philippines!

With Communist greetings,
Freedom Road Socialist Organization
